MITAGS has received approval, from the National Maritime Center, to conduct Proficiency in Survival Craft – Original and Refresher.
Last year, MITAGS hosted several operators from Japan’s Toyo Shingo Tsushinsha Corporation (TST) – or Toyo Signal Broadcasting Corporation when translated to English – for a two-week US Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) training program in Baltimore, Maryland. TST, again this year, sent several more of their operators for the two-week VTS training program.
The World War II Liberty Ship SS JOHN W. BROWN, following a successful scheduled maintenance visit to a Virginia shipyard, will return to Baltimore Sunday, Feb. 9, and relocate to a new mooring site at Pier 13 on the Canton waterfront at Newgate Avenue.
